Stage Lights for Our Place

You’re invited to Stage Lights for Our Place, our sole annual fundraiser to bring in support for the emergency relief programs that are accessed by 41,000 folks in need each year! This event is open to the public and will be a fun social evening with appetizers during our silent auction, followed by entertainment and a small live auction. Every penny raised will help Our Place match the needs of our vulnerable Spokane neighbors as they visit our programs throughout the year, searching for support!

28th Annual Fall Folk Festival

The Spokane Fall Folk Festival is the premier annual multicultural event in the Inland Northwest. Since 1996 the Folk Festival, sponsored by the Spokane Folklore Society, has been bringing music and dance from many different traditions to the two-day event each November. This Festival showcases regional musical artists and performing groups who represent cultures from around the globe and has inspired similarly styled festivals. What makes this festival shine is that we advertise our schedules and highlight performers in advance to encourage attendance. In 2023 the festival received the Inlander’s Best Of poll award for 3rd for the Best Arts Festival. Spokane Folklore Society is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to fostering American and International cultures in Spokane.

I paint little slices of my imagination. My work has evolved to include unique, emotionally charged themes which are clearly influenced by the culture
that shaped me & made me into an ever-changing artist. I recently moved back to Spokane after being a traveling Chef for 3 years. Signed a lease on an amazing art studio & I’m ready to unpack & start becoming more involved in the community & always thriving Art scene here. I’m always available for the next adventure!!

These fierce, disco-powered heroes fight crime and liberate the universe, gracing the bar with their presence.

Obon – Japanese Cultural Festival

Obon – a Japanese cultural event honoring our ancestors, featuring Japanese food, artists & dancers. Free entrance~free kids games~charge for Japanese food.
Obon Schedule: 11 am – 4 pm – Japanese Artist Displays & Sales, Kids games, Japanese Bento Boxes, Sushi & Desserts. 4 pm – Brief Buddhist Service. 5 pm Bon Odori Japanese dancing.
Come dance for joy for your ancestors. These dances are easy to follow and led by Izumi and the Spokane Buddhist Temple Bon Odori Dancers.
