Grantee: The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC)

Over the last weekend of spring break (April 4-6), the MAC will be offering visitors to Luminous: Dale Chihuly and the Studio Glass Movement the opportunity to experience live glassmaking and hands-on demonstrations in a mobile glassblowing “hot shop.” Two talented glass artists and an emcee, provided by Tacoma’s Museum of Glass, will be answering questions and explaining their techniques as they create works in a fully-equipped, mobile studio. This all-ages experience will be taking place in the MAC’s parking garage from 10am to 5pm each day and is free with general admission.
