Opportunity: Wearables from Waste

Seeking artists/designers to create “Wearables from Waste” for 350 Spokane’s annual fundraiser “Catalyst for Cool”.

Spokane 350 is the primary Climate Action organization in Spokane. Since our inception in 2016 we have ensured that climate issues are a top priority for local and state representatives. Our most recent success is helping to develop and subsequently pass the Spokane Sustainability Action Plan in December 2021.

As an all volunteer run organization, our annual fundraiser is pivitol to our work and provides an opportunity to present climate issues in a unique and fun way.

Catalyst for Cool 2022 is to be a multi-faceted event that will include:

A silent auction of art, goods & services from local businesses, vacation stays etc…

3 spoken word artists on the theme of “speaking for those that cannot speak” Indigineous, multi-generational and frontline voices are to be highlighted.

3-5 “Waste to Wearable” fashion artists whose works will be modeled at the event.

Locally sourced, vegetarian food and drink.

Participation Cost: Donation of artwork – item to be auctioned at event.
