Opportunity: Nerd Alert! National juried group exhibition

Aritistic Discipline: Visual

The Moses Lake Museum & Art Center (a program of the City of Moses Lake) is accepting submissions from artists who would like to have their artwork considered for inclusion in a national nerd-themed juried exhibition titled NERD ALERT! on display Aug 20 – Sept 23, 2021. A minimum of $400 in prizes will be awarded.

Do you have a curious mind? There are all kinds of nerds – math nerds, sci-fi nerds, computer nerds, book nerds, history nerds, space nerds, science nerds, tech nerds, comic nerds, etc. and we love them all! Whatever your passion, The Moses Lake Museum & Art Center invites you to submit your interpretations and illustrations of the NERD theme.

“Nerd” has morphed from the stereotypical construct of the introverted and socially awkward intellectual to a label that incites pride and celebration. In this exhibit we want to celebrate the eccentric, irregular, odd, strange, alternative, and unusual in all its glory. So, whether you are into quantum mechanics or cartoons let’s show the public what self-proclaimed nerds are all about!
