Event: Music Valley

Date: August 15, 2021
Time: 6:30 p.m.

Music Valley is a new musical with jazz and opera written by Madeline McNeill, lyrics by Ellen Welcker. Bring a picnic to Olmsted Brothers Green Park in Kendall Yards. Free to the public.

The story is about a land with a river running through it. On one side is Music Valley where artists live. On the other is Builder’s Ridge, a neighborhood of tools and technology where people think like machines. Two friends from opposite ends are faced with changing times and a strange sickness. Music Valley is performed by an all-female ensemble of singers, a double bass player, a marimbist, and a dancer.
