Event: Improv for Lawyers

Dates: September 30 - October 21, 2023
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The Spokane School of Improv is excited to introduce a unique opportunity for lawyers in the Spokane region with the 4-week Improv for Lawyers: Storytelling course. Along with blending improv storytelling techniques with the law, this course also provide 8 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.

Improv and storytelling are inseparable and this is true in the legal arena. The strength of a lawyer’s story, both in content and delivery, can move people in ways that facts alone cannot. The primary objective of this course is to empower participants with the skills to discover their story and to refine it for a compelling presentation.

This course marks a first in Spokane and can provide lawyers with a new approach to storytelling. The techniques draw from improv for communication and storytelling are powerful tools that extend beyond the comedy stage. Participants will learn how to use these tools to craft persuasive narratives to make their case.
