Event: Fast Trash

Dates: November 29 - December 30, 2021
Where: The Chase Gallery

Spokane Arts is excited to present Fast Trash online and in person at the Chase Gallery through December 30. Featuring new work by three local artists who all work in a variety of disciplines, for this exhibit their shared medium is garbage. The show with Tiffany Patterson, Katie Creyts, and Thom Caraway, was proposed by Caraway as a response to the increasing presence of waste in our lives: “Fast food, fast fashion, everything fast, everything efficient, everything disposable, replaceable, obsolete in weeks.” The artists in the Fast Trash exhibit examine this mindset of waste and utilize found, discarded, and otherwise “useless” materials in their work.

Visit the Chase Gallery to see the exhibit in-person now through December 30.

The Chase Gallery, located inside Spokane’s City Hall, is currently open for visitors whenever City Hall is open to the public. Stop by and see the gallery Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Gallery access may be limited Tuesday mornings.)
