Location: Spokane, WA

Dominique Is a multidisciplinary artist based in the northwest. She has a vast array of experience in theater, including Directing,acting,choreography, intimacy direction, private coaching, and general tomfoolery. She is primarily known for her directing work. She is the artistic director of bright comet theater. Dominique believes that the truest approach to art is to create from a space of growth and support. We are people first, then artists. Her top priority in any artistic space is to make sure the other collaborators feel safe, secure, and free. raw creativity is something to be celebrated. Art is storytelling, and we must nurture the storytellers.  

 

Dominique began her directing journey by assistant Directing at the Spokane civic theater. There, she assistant directed productions of Cactus Flower, Constellations, Follies, This is our youth, the crucible, CABARET, and Follies, to name a few. She then made her solo directorial debut with cutting edge beauty in a new play festival. She then went on to direct for a children’s theater, directing the music man and into the woods. After this, she co-founded bright comet theater, which is dedicated to providing growth centered projects that highlight underrepresented artists. There, she has garnered a Spokane arts grant and bright comet has earned a nomination for the Spokane arts awards in inclusion. Dominique also has a history as a theater teacher, teaching classes at many spaces. She looks forward to celebrating you and sharing her creativity with you.
