Barrister Winery. 1213 West Railroad Avenue, Spokane, will host the exhibition, Elemental, with art works by Rosemary Barile, Karen Mobley, and Deb Sheldon. The artists will be present at the winery from 5 to 8 p.m. on First Friday, March 5,
The exhibition theme, Elemental, is based on the definition of the word — from which all other structures are compounded and related to or embodying the powers of nature.
Rosemary Barile – “Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. The four basic elements that sustain us as humans in the physical world but also impact our lives on an emotional and spiritual level. “Elemental” includes mixed media art that explores my personal relationship with nature and the role that interaction plays in my daily life.”
Karen Mobley – “These pictures created over several seasons reflect on the elements in nature. All but fire. For some reason, I’m drawn to air – sky – and water.
Deb Sheldon – “I am a Pacific Northwest artist. I was raised on a farm in the Columbia Basin. The “elements” – rocks, water, wind, pour out of me when I paint. I use acrylic paint, graphite, oil stick, even coffee. After years of running a business, I am privileged to paint full time. It is the fulfillment of a dream to create and share my work with others.”
