Imagine Jazz presents Critically Acclaimed, New York Saxophonist Darryl Yokley and his band Sound Reformation on Sunday November 14th, 2021 at McNally Recital Hall at Holy Names Music Center in Spokane, WA. The Concert will be offered with limited-capacity in-person tickets as well as a free Livestream option. Tickets and more information can be found at www.imaginejazz.org
Yokley has performed for music legend Quincy Jones as well playing with motown legends The Four Tops, The Temptations, The O’ Jays. His most recent recording Pictures at an African Exhibition has received favorable reviews from the New York Times, Downbeat magazine, and was a top 10 jazz album on BandCamp the month it was released.

Sound Reformation, a classic quartet much in the style of John Coltrane is comprised of Zaccai Curtis on piano, Luques Curtis on bass, and Wayne Smith Jr. on drums. Each member is a compose and band leader in their own right, having learned from and performed with many historic jazz figures.
The Quartet will perform in a Legacy Workshop during the day 3pm-6pm on Sunday November 14th allowing local students and community members to work with all four members in instrument specific classes, combo coaching and demonstrations. The concert will occur at 7pm.
In-person attendance will be limited and social distanced following strict covid-19 protocols. The workshops and concert will be streamed online free, allowing all members of our local community to participate safely.
