“How best can we tell this story?”
For every project I go into, that is the most important consideration I make. Whether it is a script I am writing, a costume I am sewing, or an historical interpretation I am presenting, this question guides my work through every step of the process.
Having received an MA in Theatre Arts at the University of Oregon and BA from Eastern Washington University, I have been active in the Film and Theatre community of the Pacific Northwest for more than a decade. My interests are broad, with a wide range of practical skills and theoretical know-how, including:
– Costuming, both historical and contemporary, for stage and screen
– Tailoring
– Draping
– Pattern drafting
– Screenwriting
– Playwrighting
– Dramaturgy
– Acting for stage and screen
With my work having been produced at Stage Left Theatre, Aspire Community Theatre, University of Oregon Theatre, and more, I have what it takes to bring your story to life. My name is Mica Pointer, and I can’t wait to start working with you!
