For Kids
2020 will be the third year of Music Video Jams, which pairs emerging filmmakers with emerging musicians to create a brand-new music video that is conceived, shot, produced, and distributed locally. Through their collaboration, each team (both filmmakers and musicians) will have the chance to learn from other artists, showcase their own talent, find a bigger platform to share their work, meet new artists in the community, and much more.
Each team of filmmakers will create a music video of the musician/band’s work. In addition to producing a music video to be publicly screened on September 13, the filmmaker team will agree to provide film & b-roll footage to the organizers. Each selected band or musician will walk away from the collaboration with a produced music video they can use to promote their work and further their artistic career. The winning filmmaker/band team will be eligible for a cash prize. Filmmaker teams and musician teams will be paired by the organizers; they will not be self-selected. Teams will be announced on August 24 at the kickoff event, to be held at the CMT studios (104 W. 3rd, Suite B) and broadcast live by KYRS.
Musicians are asked to submit at least 1 (max of 2) samples of produced music. Get all the details and submit to the musicians form here.

Timeline:
May 11- June 30: Submissions open for filmmakers. Deadline is Tuesday, June 30 at 11:59 p.m.
July 1-15: Jury selects and then notifies artists/artist teams
Monday, August 24: Kickoff at Community Minded Television (CMTV14)
Filming/Production: August 24- September 7
Tuesday, September 8: Deadline for video submission
September 13: Screening
