Risa Rubin is a multimedia artist originally from Los Angeles, by way of Chicago. She specializes in handbuilt and decorative ceramics. She worked as the Art & Ceramics teacher for the South Side of Chicago’s crown jewel, The South Shore Cultural Center, and her work will be shown at this year’s National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts in Detroit. Some of her other accomplishments include: building 7ft tall puppets for Disney, creating and producing a film festival in her downtown LA apartment, and releasing two albums of music that were on the top 100 album lists on Bandcamp. She is so excited to bring her artistic vision and enthusiasm to Spokane.
