The Risograph Print Residency of Spokane supports community-minded artists, designers, and students in producing original, edition-based print projects utilizing the unique Risograph facilities of EWU’s 4D Lab. This juried residency offers access to specialized equipment, mentorship from faculty, and a dedicated studio in the Catalyst Building in downtown Spokane. The 2025–2026 cycle introduces two new student micro-residencies alongside our traditional artist/designer residencies, expanding opportunities for creative exploration, mentorship, and community engagement.
We invite proposals that explore the expressive potential of Risograph printing through editions, posters, zines, books, visual narratives, and experimental print ephemera. Strong proposals will demonstrate a commitment to community engagement—whether through workshops, artist talks, collaborations, or public-facing creative outcomes.
Residents are encouraged to push the boundaries of the medium, incorporating interdisciplinary approaches and contributing to an active culture of print-based storytelling and visual research.
