Live From Somewhere is a Spokane-based concert film series that showcases local musicians performing in unconventional locations—from historic landmarks to art museums—at no cost to the artists. Since its launch during the pandemic in 2020, the project has featured over 30 musicians and a wide variety of Spokane venues, blending cinematic production with intimate live performances. In 2025, the team plans to continue its creative momentum by filming at new locations, hosting premiere events at the Garland Theater, and expanding to live concerts in venues like the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. With a crew that includes multiple camera operators, photographers, and audio engineers, each production creates high-quality media that musicians can use in press kits, marketing, and more.
As the series grows, it has begun attracting out-of-town artists and building partnerships with local venues to bring those performers to Spokane, further elevating the city’s creative scene. This SAGA grant will support production costs such as venue rentals, crew compensation, media storage, and gear upgrades, ensuring that the team can continue curating one-of-a-kind musical experiences. With a strong focus on adaptability and innovation, Live From Somewhere remains committed to amplifying local talent and connecting Spokane’s music scene with broader audiences through high-quality, immersive storytelling.
