Growing up in Spokane, access to all ages music spaces has always been a little tricky. Upon the closing of two major sources of influence for us, Sasquatch Music Festival and The Bartlett, a fire was lit under us to support access to music for all, despite their age. Since that time we have seen the furthering effects of isolation driven by a digital age and global pandemic, challenging economic forces for bands in the age of digital streaming, and troubling geopolitical situations. Boomjam is created as a space for people to come and enjoy their community, support artists of all backgrounds, meet new friends, listen to cool music, and have unique experiences in a safe environment.
Further than our personal vision for a festival, Boomjam is a reflection of the Spokane community. We host open applications for everything from bands to visual artists, vendors and volunteers. We want to be good neighbors and care about supporting as many people as possible. So if you have an idea… hit us up!
