E.L. Stewart
I was born in a large stone mansion, between Chicago and Detroit. My first solo exhibition was at the Panopoulas in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1969. I have been exhibiting my work regularly from that time forward. I attended Kendall School of Art and Design, as a Scholarship student. Illustration, Graphic Design, Advertising. 1967-1969. Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since then, my art education has been largely due to hard work and experience.

I’m a self taught visual artist of both traditional and digital mediums. After being diagnosed with chronic illnesses I decided to pursue my artwork despite being unable to attend art school. I do portraits of people and pets and pop culture icons. I sometimes dip into some expressionism.
