CVHS Immigration Project Art Show
Students from Central Valley High School English Language Learning program partnered with students from the art program. The ELL students told their “coming to America” stories which were then illustrated and interpreted by the art students. The process broke down barrios between the students and friendships resulted, as well as art!

Wild Kratts Live is a theatrical stage show based on the #1 animated television series Wild Kratts. Martin and Chris Kratt engage the audience in a classic Wild Kratts story.
Ancient Tales of Magic: Music of Harry Potter & other Halloween Favorites
The Spokane Symphony is joined by actors, dancers, and a magician to explore musical tales of wizards, witches and magical creatures with the music of Harry Potter movies and more!
Pen & Ink: Native American Comic Book Drawings
Artists and craftspeople share a visual demonstration for you to observe. Demonstrations in October are presented in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities Month.

Scablands Books
With support from SAGA, Scablands Books will publish a graphic novel, Baby Speaks Salish, by local writer Emma Noyes. Proceeds will go to the Salish School of Spokane, which is dedicated to keeping the interior Salish languages alive in the face of ongoing colonialism.
Hannah Pomante, Katie Smith, & Melissa Jones
The three artists are all 2019 graduates from Whitworth arts programs and are collaborating to create and share the work with Spokane’s youth. The goal of the Bird Nest Installation is to provide a place of escape for Spokane’s youth by translating elements of nature into an eco-friendly public art installation.
Writers in the Community
Writers in the Community (WITC) at EWU offers free workshops to audiences as varied as inmates, veterans, men and women in recovery, pediatric oncology patients, and elementary, middle, and high school students.
