Matt Lome is an illustrative painter with a flair for Storytelling. His playful style is both literal and impressionistic; both realistic and whimsical. It invites all viewers to talk, play, and interact with each other.
Come browse through over 600 handcrafted chili bowls created by artists from the Spokane Potters’ Guild. Then enjoy some delicious chili in your new bowl with friends and family! Afterward, wander through our displays of unique art and handcrafted ceramics! Participate in our silent auction featuring amazing art produced by our skilled potters. Winners need not be present to win. All proceeds support Spokane Potters’ Guild whose mission is “ to promote the general knowledge of the ceramic arts by contributing to the artistic, educational and cultural awareness of the community.” This event is held at the Corbin Senior Center, 827 W Cleveland Ave, Spokane, WA. A large bowl with chili is $15, and a small bowl with chili is $10. An option to purchase bowls without chili is available.
The New Moon Art Gallery is featuring one of Spokane’s most prolific, and beloved artists, Jo Fyfe, for our February First Friday show, February 2nd. Jo is an octogenarian, who has been creating and teaching art for decades. She has mentored and taught many of Spokane’s current artists. This show will pay tribute to her creative spirit, her dedication to teaching and is in recognition of her many accomplishments. Please join us in honoring this woman/artist who has touched so many lives in such a positive way.
Date night at the Pottery Studio! This combo pottery night includes both the potter’s wheel and a raku firing.
Wheel experience: We provide clay and a bit of instruction on how to throw on the potter’s wheel. We won’t be keeping anything but memories, so get messy and have fun!
Raku: We provide handmade art items ready for you to glaze and fire using this ancient Japanese technique. Take home your unique wall hanging or decorative vase at the end of the night.

The Chewelah Arts Guild will be partnering with the Chewelah Creative District to host the 1st Annual Recycled ArtsFest. This event will feature 10 artisan vendors displaying recycled and upcycled art pieces. The Chewelah Creative District Spotlight Gallery will be displaying the winning pieces from the 2023 New Year’s Eve Trashquerade Ball.

Outside-In draws upon the artist’s experience creating large-scale public works that contemplate nature, history and the essential characteristics of a given place. Reflecting upon those themes, Sarah Thompson Moore filters them through the lens of the gallery walls in a mixed-media display of visually linked artworks, installation and remnants. Including a re-envisioning of materials and processes left over from past public art projects, Outside-In is all about self-reflection and exploring new territories in life and in art.
Quincey Miracle (they/them) is a transmasc/nonbinary and queer sculptor, performance, and installation artist. It’s Easy to Get Lost Here presents a series of impermanent constructions that investigate the formation of queer identity in adolescence and the act of trauma processing in adulthood.
