The Whitworth University Art Department and the university’s Bryan Oliver Gallery are proud to present recent work from Iva Haas, a sculptural ceramic artist who was raised in Belgrade, Serbia. Please visit the exhibit between Feb. 7 and March 24, 2023.

Drawn to the rhythms of light and matter that appear in the periphery of daily life, artist Siri Stensberg will assemble a living vocabulary of shape and color to create an immersive installation in the SFCC Fine Art Gallery.

Our artists have been at their most creative in transforming a piece they found in a thrift store into a reinvented masterpiece! While keeping the original piece recognizable, they altered it using materials of their choice. The results run the gamut of emotionally horrifying, to thought provoking, to magical, to just plain fun.

2023. “Intertwined” explores the ways in which complex narratives and experiences tie us to one
another and the natural world. Through each artist’s mediums, explorations and curiosities, this show
will invite the viewer to consider their own place and how they are “Intertwined” within the world
around them.
