Queer Art Walk 2022, presented by Spokane Arts
Spokane’s third annual Queer Art Walk begins Friday, June 3, 2022. Queer Art Walk was founded in 2019 by a group of local artists, with the mission to uplift LGBTQ+ voices and celebrate a historically marginalized group through art.
E.L. Stewart
I was born in a large stone mansion, between Chicago and Detroit. My first solo exhibition was at the Panopoulas in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1969. I have been exhibiting my work regularly from that time forward. I attended Kendall School of Art and Design, as a Scholarship student. Illustration, Graphic Design, Advertising. 1967-1969. Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since then, my art education has been largely due to hard work and experience.
Melissa Narrance
I’m a self taught visual artist of both traditional and digital mediums. After being diagnosed with chronic illnesses I decided to pursue my artwork despite being unable to attend art school. I do portraits of people and pets and pop culture icons. I sometimes dip into some expressionism.
Gatieh Nacario
I am a visual artist/muralist. I have 3 murals in the city; 1 in the Garland District Alley and 2 at M.A.D. Co. Lab. Studios. My medium is acrylics. I am a member of River Ridge Association of Fine Arts. Presently, my arts are displayed at Shadle Park Library and Indaba Coffee.

With SAGA support, Hudson will publish her coloring book, including 30 pages of hand drawn images of locations in Spokane.

SAGA will support Zhang as she establishes a permanent space to choreograph Chinese dances and train dancers to continue offering performances.
The Center for Children’s Book Arts
CCBA will be able to make book-arts related workshops accessible for Spokane families of limited means by providing season-long scholarships.
Nicholas Sironka
Sironka will bring a series of half-day batik art workshops and Maasai lectures to Spokane Schools in 2022.
