OPEN NOW! ARTS RELIEF GRANTS FOR INDIVIDUALS, SMALL/MID-SIZE ORGANIZATIONS, AND LARGE ORGANIZATIONS.
Applications are open for relief grants dedicated toward individual artists, as well as small and large locally-owned cultural institutions, venues, and arts/culture non-profits that have faced shut downs and severe limitations due to COVID-19 related restrictions later this week. This grant program is funded by City of Spokane CARES Act dollars. The intent of the funding is to support Spokane creative businesses, nonprofit arts/culture organizations, and self-employed artists whose business operations have been shut down or severely limited due to the pandemic and required closures caused by it. Relief grants for the arts community, which was among the first hit and will be one of the last industries allowed to fully reopen, are available in three separate categories.
Grant awards will be allocated up to $25,000 for large cultural institutions, up to $10,000 for small-to-midsized local creative businesses and arts nonprofits, and up to $1,000 for individual artists. Please note each application form is unique to each of those three (3) application categories. Each application contains the eligibility criteria related to each specific category. Due to federal restrictions, the timeline for applications and distribution is very short! Deadline for completed applications for each of the three categories is 11:59 p.m. October 1, 2020. Please note: the application should only take 15-30 minutes to complete.
