Spokane Film Project is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers from the film, commercial, and television industry of Spokane – professional and amateur. It is a no-fee membership association with members at many levels of expertise. Since its inception, SFP’s priority has been to serve as a cooperative resource providing education, promotion, support, and networking for the Spokane digital content creating community.
Based on a survey of need in Spokane’s digital content community, Spokane Film Project has put together a series of educational panels and hands-on workshops with professionals from the film industry. The series is designed to educate and connect digital content creators and filmmakers of all levels. Not only will participants have some practical experience in the workshops, they will have the benefit of the professional’s sharing anecdotes from their own unique experiences. CMTV-14 will be facilitating and documenting the series.
SFP’s board has an extensive network in the industry and their Education Committee has taken advantage of those connections to find uniquely qualified guest speakers to address topics such as COVID Set Protocols, Scheduling and Budgeting, Finance and Distribution, Cinematography, Technical Camera Acting, and How to Pitch.
