Richmond Art Collective recently relocated to 917 W Broadway Avenue: the historic Plaza building. RAC has decided to use this unexpected move as an opportunity to reimagine the way the collective provides studio space and supports emerging artists. With SAGA support, RAC will be able to cover operational and materials costs as they recruit additional members and develop the infrastructure for the new West Central facility. The new location will include a darkroom, a flexible exhibition space, and re-envisioned work spaces for member artists.
Richmond Art Collective (RAC) is a dynamic, place-based community of multi-disciplinary artists, designers, curators, and academics practicing in the Spokane area, lead by Executive Director, Julie Gautier-Downes Jackson. RAC furnishes affordable artist co-work spaces, programming, and resources to bolster creative bandwidth and professional opportunities for local artists, cultivates community through collaborative events, and fosters lasting relationships with Spokane audiences. The Collective is comprised of open, communal, multi-disciplinary work spaces, and an exhibition space at street level.
