Project Title: RYAN! Feddersen – Phantom
Year awarded: 2018, Round 2

With support from the Spokane Arts Grant Awards, the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture will bring the exhibition, RYAN! Feddersen: Phantom Lands, to the MAC, from September 15, 2018-January 20, 2019. The exhibition expresses the MAC’s mission to bring diversity of art, different perspectives, and opportunities for deeper thinking and stronger conversations to Spokane audiences. The artist aims to form connections between US history, her Okanogan heritage, and current events to ignite conversations on place, use of space, and the human relationship to the environment. Feddersen approaches these topics with an emphasis on humor, play, and creative engagement as a way to create opportunities for personal introspection and discovery.
