A little about our workshop facilitator:
Art 21:
Art21’s education initiatives engage audiences in a dialogue about contemporary art and the artists featured in Art21 films.
Programs are based on the organization’s belief that the art and ideas of contemporary visual artists are powerful models for creative and critical thinking across subjects areas and disciplines.
Inspired by our films, in which contemporary artists talk about their motivations and methods, Art21 encourages educators and their students to think and work like artists, using thematic, inquiry-driven processes and strategies that reflect how artists think and make work today.
Art21’s education initiatives and public programs are made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts, LeRoy Neiman and Janet Byrne Neiman Foundation, The Robert & Toni Bader Charitble Fund, and, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and individual contributors.
