SPOKANE PRINT FEST 2020 We are excited for the second annual Spokane Print Fest. In true 2020 style, it will look a little different from last year, but we still have a lot of fun and hands-on printing experiences planned. From in-person and virtual gallery shows, in-person workshops hosted by Spokane Print & Publishing Center, and a virtual panel, this is an opportunity to learn all things print throughout November.

Coasters Benefit – Trackside Studio Ceramic Art Gallery
Join Trackside Studio Ceramic Art Gallery for the Coasters Benefit exhibit in November! Exhibit Open: November 6 – 21; Opening Reception: Friday, November 6, 5 – 8 p.m. Face masks required, gallery limited to 5 patrons at a time. Line outside gallery should use social distancing. Trackside’s November exhibit is a repeat of our super popular 2019 exhibit and sale of COASTERS! Created by local artists, students and friends of Trackside, and available for purchase for only $10 each. Wooden Storytellers
Spokane Arts is excited to share Wooden Storytellers online this fall! Featuring large scale woodblock prints created as collaborative pieces between the traveling arts organization Big Ink and 17 artists from around the United States, Wooden Storytellers showcases some of the most exciting work being done in woodblock printing today! Featured artists: Rachel Thern, Debra Olin, Abel Alejandre, Angela Earley, Jessica Billey, Jun Lee, Julie (J.L.) Abraham, Christopher O’Flaherty, Robert Maloney, Eben King, Robin Gibson, Zachariah Schmitt, Stephen Grossman, Reinaldo Gil Zambrano, Carolyn M. Muskat, Beth Howe and Clive McCarthy, and Lyell Castonguay.

In Mother Daughter, Hannah Pomante examines the tradition of quilt making and its relationship to our transitioning environments. Under the guidance of her mother, Hannah began to learn to quilt, using the process to act as a rite of passage from childhood to adulthood.

American Inheritance: Unpacking World War II
Seventy-five years after the fighting stopped, evidence of the world’s deadliest global conflict can still be found in almost every home, community and aspect of American life. WWII legacies survive in suburban attics, memorialized in public spaces and the ways in which Americans view the world itself.
Bomber Boys: Portraits from the Front
Featuring a series of candid portraits reproduced from a secret stash of World War II images, ephemera, and a diary from 1945, the exhibition highlights the combat, crew, and camp life of the 445th bomb squadron of the 12th Army Air Corps stationed on Corsica and in Italy (the same outfit featured in Catch-22.)
