Artist Roster

The Spokane Arts artist roster is a searchable tool designed to showcase local creatives and connect them with community members seeking artists and makers. Browse the entire roster to discover a new favorite artist or filter by the type of work you’re seeking. You’ll find samples of their work, a description of what drives them to create and links to check out their website or social media. Use the roster to discover the incredible talent living right here in our community. Please note: the artist roster is a free resource directory to find artists. Any local artist can add their information. The artists on the roster are not endorsed or represented by Spokane Arts.

In order to foster a thriving creative community where artists can make a living doing their work, Spokane Arts believes in the importance of paying artists. Too often, creatives are asked to provide time, labor, materials, or finished work for free. While most of us wouldn’t ask an electrician, CPA or nurse to provide their professional services at no cost — knowing they trained and studied to gain expertise — artists are often asked to donate their services. Many artists and creatives do choose to donate their time to causes they care deeply about, but to make a living, doing work for free should be the exception, not the rule. We humbly ask you to keep this in mind when contacting creatives on the roster, and know that you can always ask an artist to give you a cost estimate or written proposal to review. Questions? Don’t hesitate to ask our staff; we’d be happy to help guide you. Contact shantell@spokanearts.org.

Artist
Clifford Dube aka Passport44

Cliff’s art is very diverse, ranging from photorealistic graphite drawings to bold surreal and abstract paintings, often flowing and psychedelic with vibrant colors that often have UV effects. He first learned the artistic craft from his mother, Jane Dube, who was an interior designer during his youth. He continued to follow artistic interests in school, studying visual foundations and /drawing at Seminole State College in Lake Mary, FL. His work is full of sharp lines, curves, and vivid colors amidst heavy contrast.

Artist
Jansen Niccals

Hello! I grew up in Spokane and have been creating art in the PNW for over a decade. I work in a variety of mediums, traditionally; acrylic and watercolor painting, graphic design and illustration, character concept designs, and comic panels. I also dabble in digital illustrations and paintings.  Some of the things I love to create include fantasy-themed works like dragons and mythological creatures. I also illustrate animals, pets, and fantastic beasts. I create art because it is the one thing in my soul that is the loudest. When I am drawing or painting, I am free. My heart sings as it soars across a canvas. Each and every drawing I create is a look inside my head, and my imagination. I look forward to speaking with you and seeing the vision you have for the art that we both create together.

Artist
Wendy Zupan

I make one-of-a-kind mixed media pieces and sculpted whimsical puppetry from a land of Old World fiction. My interest in this time period started when I was quite young, through the delightful stories of Merlin and the Grimm Brother’s fairy tales. Illustrators such as Arthur Rackham and Sir John Tenniel fed my young mind and continue to inspire me. I was fascinated by archaeology, Indian cliff dwellings, dinosaur digs – worlds long forgotten for which stories could be invented.
