Project Title: 2023 Chinese Lunar New Year

Spokane Chinese Association (SCA) organizes and supports a Chinese dance group, choir, language and art programs for youth, culinary, and writer clubs, among many other cultural opportunities in Spokane. SAGA is supporting SCA’s 2023 Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, their largest and most varied event, to be held on January 15, 2023 at The Fox.

After dealing with the setbacks of Covid-19, the Chinese Association Board has made a decision to “go big” for the Lunar New Year in 2023, which includes the rental of the Fox, the largest venue for the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration in Spokane to date. The large stage will accommodate performances, including Chinese dances, Chinese opera, Chinese music, and martial arts. The exquisite lobby of the Fox will hold cultural, culinary, and art demonstrations and interactive activities, including calligraphy, painting, lantern making, paper cutting and many Chinese artworks.
