Grantee: Spokane Ensemble Theatre

Project Title: Reimagining "Much Ado About Nothing"
Year awarded: 2022, Round 1

The Spokane Ensemble Theatre (SET) was founded in the summer of 2021. Their inaugural production, William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, was held at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC). With a fully sold out run, SET celebrated a successful first production as a newly-formed professional theatre company. Twelfth Night garnered Spokane Ensemble Theatre a nomination for a Spokane Arts Inclusion Award.

With SAGA support for Spokane Ensemble Theatre will once again activate the 300-seat outdoor amphitheater of the MAC in June 2022 with a contemporary, high-energy reimagining of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
