Risograph Residency of Spokane, in collaboration with the EWU’s Department of Design, welcomes ALEX SENSIBA (@alxdae) on Friday, June 7th 5-8pm for the release of their comic BRAIDS OF SNAKES.

ALEX will be hosting a talk about their comic-creating process, risograph printing methods, and self-publishing experience.

BRAIDS OF SNAKES is a vaguely familiar yet strikingly new interpretation of Medusa, which intertwines several versions of the monster, the mother, and the victim. BRAIDS OF SNAKES explores the comfort of imagination, the fear of reality, and the acceptance of the future–whatever it may hold.
How far has Medusa strayed from her original myth? How far can she go?

BRAIDS OF SNAKES is 32 pages and risograph printed (4-colors) at EWU’s 4D Lab. *These will be available for purchase along with Risograph posters at the event.
