Adam Blalock starts the New Year at the Liberty Gallery with a solo show of his work. Adam was born in Spokane and grew up in an old farmhouse along Latah Creek ~ in 2004, Adam was voted “most artistic” in high school but chose to pursue horticulture science instead.

Raven has been making pine needle baskets since she was a child. She fell in love with the medium after visiting an exhibit on basketry at a small art museum. She stared at the baskets until she had a rough idea of how they were constructed, then made an attempt as soon as she could get out into the woods.

With consideration for texture, composition and value, Blake layers acrylic paint and mixed media on paper and then deconstructs the paper and puts it back together with collage techniques.
