Fashion

Curious about Spokane’s growing fashion scene? Begin by checking out nonprofit Runway Renegades, who’ve hosted an annual fashion show featuring local designers for over a decade. They use proceeds from ticket sales to support local designers, and those designers, in turn, volunteer with organizations supporting at-risk youth.

Washington Lawyers for the Arts – Legal Advice Week

Washington Lawyers for the Arts is pleased to announce WLA Legal Advice Week for January from January 18 – 22, 2021.  Join in this week-long pro bono telephone clinic where artists and arts professionals statewide can get 30 minutes of free advice related to their legal issues. WLA LAW starts January 18, 2021. The telephone legal clinic will continue for the foreseeable future along side the in-person clinic at Seattle University. WLA LAW is open to artists and arts organizations throughout Washington State. Legal issues* must relate to an artists discipline but can cover a wide range of areas.

Artist
Kate J. Reed

Party Krill is an illustration and surface design brand that values play, pretty things, and rough edges. All work is based on Kate Reed’s illustration, inspired by the fringes of her imagination and the occasional google search for images of “hippos sitting like dogs.” Kate runs her website named Party Krill. On her website, you are able to purchase pretty and playful wrapping paper, greeting cards, and art prints. Her work will soon be available in local shops. You can sign up for her newsletter to keep updated on new releases and partnerships!

Artist
Clifford Dube aka Passport44

Cliff’s art is very diverse, ranging from photorealistic graphite drawings to bold surreal and abstract paintings, often flowing and psychedelic with vibrant colors that often have UV effects. He first learned the artistic craft from his mother, Jane Dube, who was an interior designer during his youth. He continued to follow artistic interests in school, studying visual foundations and /drawing at Seminole State College in Lake Mary, FL. His work is full of sharp lines, curves, and vivid colors amidst heavy contrast.
