The Spokane Arts artist roster is a searchable tool designed to showcase local creatives and connect them with community members seeking artists and makers. Browse the entire roster to discover a new favorite artist or filter by the type of work you’re seeking. You’ll find samples of their work, a description of what drives them to create and links to check out their website or social media. Use the roster to discover the incredible talent living right here in our community. Please note: the artist roster is a free resource directory to find artists. Any local artist can add their information. The artists on the roster are not endorsed or represented by Spokane Arts. 

In order to foster a thriving creative community where artists can make a living doing their work, Spokane Arts believes in the importance of paying artists. Too often, creatives are asked to provide time, labor, materials, or finished work for free. While most of us wouldn’t ask an electrician, CPA or nurse to provide their professional services at no cost — knowing they trained and studied to gain expertise — artists are often asked to donate their services. Many artists and creatives do choose to donate their time to causes they care deeply about, but to make a living, doing work for free should be the exception, not the rule. We humbly ask you to keep this in mind when contacting creatives on the roster, and know that you can always ask an artist to give you a cost estimate or written proposal to review. Questions? Olivia Evans

Olivia Evans is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Spokane, WA, working in video, photography, drawing, and film. In 2018, she graduated from Eastern Washington University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art and a minor in film. Her work is heavily influenced by motherhood, the subconscious, and social events — intertwining traditional and digital media to create narratives of the self. All these influences echo her eclectic cultural experiences of growing up in an economically challenged home with an Italian mother and African American/Native American father. Living with her mother and sister for most of her life, till her parents marriage renewal in 2007. Olivia is working with The Alliance for Media, Arts, & Culture as a local producer of the documentary series Monday Movies and co-curates events in the Pacific Northwest region. She actively participates in Alliance National Youth Media Network activities.

As a storyteller, my goal is to connect people with wisdom through the ancient art of story. I tell traditional tales (fairy tales, folk tales, myths, legends, etc.) from my Philippine Culture. I love insights and lessons best when they’re wrapped in funny or poignant stories. I began my storytelling journey when I became a mom and wanted to share my heritage with my children. I have curated artifacts and a library collection of Filipiniana documenting the history of Filipinos and their interactions with the surrounding countries, traders and travelers as far back as the Stone Age.

By chance or fate, you’ve landed on my page and I am glad you have. Thanks for looking at what I have to share with the world. Most people can’t say that they are working their dream job… but I can. I have dreamt of being a photographer since I was a little girl posing my younger sisters and family dog to get just the right shot on my disposable camera. When high school was over I used my graduation money to buy my first professional camera and began my photography journey.
My name is Mal and this is my creative space and my safe place to share with you the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met. I am a daydreamer and a night thinker. When I am not busy playing hide and seek with my daughter, you’ll see me with my camera where the grass is green and the air can awaken souls. My husband and daughter are my support system and also my biggest fans. They allow me to be my true authentic self and fuel my passion. I create works with my clients that make their souls happy and bring their visions to life. Whether that be an afternoon picnic in the park or a trip to Lowe’s for new paint in the bathroom. I’ll take my artist eye and create the loon you are thinking.

Yooo, I’m a local videographer and photographer, and I mainly focus on shooting commercial video ads, videos and photos of weddings, and also fine art/fashion photography and video!
