Liz Rognes is a singer/songwriter, composer, and writer based in Spokane, Washington. Her two albums, Red Flags and Topographies, include folk, Americana, jazz, and baroque pop influences. She writes songs, choral, and chamber music, and she loves combining her loves of poetry and music by setting texts in a variety of genres. She has played many local and regional festivals and events like Spokane Pride, the Women’s March, Volume, the Women’s Media Arts and Literacy Festival, Terrain’s Uncharted with the Spokane Symphony, and the main stage at Seattle’s PrideFest, but her favorite performance experience is singing lullabies to her two little kids every night. She has a B.A. in Music from the University of St. Catherine and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the Inland Northwest Center for Writers.
