The work I do is a message to all who hear it that you can pick up an instrument and create something. Something original and in the moment. You don’t need a college degree with debt, you don’t need to live in expensive cities, just pick up your instrument whether it’s a paintbrush or a musical instrument and create something. I recognize there is a classism that exists in the arts and people from certain economic status’s are being left out of it. I want to inspire people to be free, that now is the time more than ever to free yourself from prior narratives and pioneer something new. Build something new and build a community. That music can also be an art form like abstract painting and not just a business model to succeed at.
Improvisation can be healing and offer the same benefits to mental health as any other art form.
