Angela is a disabled, neurodivergent mixed‑media designer and third‑generation small business owner. She creates bold, colorful waterproof vinyl stickers, apparel, and printed goods that blend inclusive storytelling, advocacy, and unapologetic humor. Her work is rooted in lived experience – her own and the communities she’s part of – and centers identity, accessibility, and the everyday realities of disabled and chronically ill life.
Artist Statement
My work is driven by the belief that art should mean different things to different people. My designs speak to you how they speak to you, which will be different from person to person.
I create vibrant, narrative‑driven designs that mix digital illustration, hand‑drawn elements, and playful language. My pieces often explore disability, neurodivergence, queerness, and community, using humor, color, shapes, and movement to make space for joy alongside struggle.
As an artist with aphantasia, I build my work through experimentation, iteration, and emotional memory rather than mental imagery, which is a process that has become central to my style and storytelling.
Through Aphantastic Designs, I aim to create art that feels accessible, affirming, and delightfully weird. My goal is always the same: to make something that helps people feel seen and supported.
I’m available for collaborations and wholesale partnerships for my existing work through Aphantastic Designs.
I’m available for custom print and embroidery design work through my second brand, OdellMae.com
