Grantee: Northwest BachFest

Project Title: Postcards from Spokane
Year awarded: 2020, Round 2

During this time of postponed live events, this SAGA grant will allow Northwest BachFest to produce and distribute musical Postcards from Spokane. This creative work features short video performances in the Historic Davenport ballrooms and other iconic locations that will market Spokane as an arts destination to the Inland Northwest and Canada. The emails’ opening screen looks like a traditional postcard then continues on to vignettes of high-quality classical performance.

Postcards from Spokane will keep Spokane in the public’s mind as a desirable future destination once restrictions are lifted, providing soothing reminders that music will endure with the promise that we will be able, once again, to celebrate live performances together.
