GLOW Children’s Center is receiving SAGA support to strengthen its year-round visual arts and music programs for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. In collaboration with artist-educator Desi Mowry and Chrysalis Gallery founder Denny Carman, GLOW offers weekly art classes tailored to young learners and encourages students to sell their creations at local art shows—nurturing creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurship.
GLOW also partners with Songbird’s Music Together program, led by Nicole Hicks-Wedge, a teaching artist who brings culturally diverse songs, rhythms, and instruments into the classroom. This program fosters early music literacy, math readiness, and multicultural empathy. Family-centered community music circles deepen engagement, encouraging at-home learning and shared joy. SAGA support for both programs will help GLOW sustain inclusive, arts-rich learning environments that celebrate every child’s voice and potential.
