Jill Anholt is a versatile and experienced artist based in Vancouver, Canada whose practice includes commissioned environmental and sculptural installations, and collaborative design team projects for public spaces across North America. She has received national and international awards for her artworks independently and as part of integrated design projects, many recognized for their innovation and successful role in placemaking and community building. Join us for her lecture to learn more about “Aperture”, the dynamic public art glass installation which is on the façade of sƛ̓x̣etkʷ (ska-hét) Fine and Applied Arts Building 32 on the campus of Spokane Falls Community College. Learn more from artist Jill Anholt about the concept and creation of her site-specific artwork that was commissioned by ArtsWA for the Washington State Public Art Collection.
