Project Title: dom+bomb Presents: Spokane Fashion Week-End

dom+bomb is the Inland Northwest’s only size and gender-inclusive fashion brand. A black-woman and queer-woman owned business, they design ethically produced, distinctly beautiful clothing in sizes 5XL-XS, along with tailoring, mending, and styling services. dom+bomb fights fatphobia and the gender binary by advocating for everyone to do what makes them feel joyful and comfortable, including wearing clothes that help them feel good.

Prior to the pandemic, Spokane was well on its way to becoming a regional fashion destination. The annual runway show, Runway Renegades, provided an opportunity for local designers, models, make-up artists, and other fashion professionals to showcase their art and skills. Since the pandemic, there has not been a similar opportunity in the community. dom+bomb’s goal is to change that.

SAGA funding will help support the marketing and performer pay for an inclusive fashion weekend including a Friday night gala and Saturday block party with runway shows in September 2024.
