Project Title: Space Queers Comedy Shows
Year awarded: 2024, Round 1

Space Queers is a showcase of local LGBTQ+ stand-up comedians, drag performers, and more coming together to present a raucous helping of queer joy, but more importantly it is a gathering event for queer people in Spokane to see their stories celebrated. The material of these shows uplifts the queer community, educates the straight community, and connects them through jokes and joy.

SAGA support will assist Space Queers become a self-sufficient business, rolling show profits into producing the next show for the Spokane community and provide stipends for performers in multiple 90-minute comedy shows through 2024.
