Aritistic Discipline: Visual

The Washington State University Queer Archives invites artists & community members to submit work and materials for an upcoming exhibition at the Libraries Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) exhibition space on the WSU Pullman campus. This exhibition is seeking artwork and historical ephemera that speaks specifically to queer history and experience related to the Palouse region of Southeastern Washington State.

This exhibition will be a combination of artwork and community ephemera, and will attempt to speak to, complicate, and expand upon both categories – allowing for a wider and more transformative narrative of queer history and experience in this region. We invite work that moves beyond a simplistic notion of history and representation and speaks to a more serpentine canon of life, history, and art. We invite the incompletes, the remembrances, the keepsakes, the half-truths, gossips, murmurs, and fleeting moments.
