A panel of six community members, with experience in various aspects of the arts, review eligible applications. Each selection panel serves for one year and the names of the panelists are made public each December after all funding decisions have been announced. SAGA will grant a total of $166,000 to the arts and culture communities in the Spokane region in 2026.

Round 1 Grantees
The Spokane Arts Grant Awards (SAGA) has funded seven new proposals from 44 applicants in its first round of grantmaking in 2026. Grant winners will carry out arts projects and programs that will take place in the Spokane region over the next twelve months. The successful applicants received a total of $50,000 for work in guitar making, establishing a Native arts market, fashion, printmaking, murals, trauma-informed music programming and documentary.
