Event: Get Lit! Festival

Dates: April 12 - 18th 2021

While Get Lit! is not celebrating in person in 2021 due to COVID-19, an exciting virtual festival is planned, featuring headlining authors Jess Walter, Esi Edugyan, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Robin Wall Kimmerer and many others. See the full workshop and speaker schedule here. All events are streamed live on YouTube (with a few exceptions) and will be viewable online afterwards.

The week-long celebration of reading and writing offers:

  • Readings, lectures, and on-stage-conversations
  • Craft classes
  • Writing workshops
  • Panel discussions
  • Poetry slams and open mics
  • Writing contests
  • Book signings
  • Visits by festival authors to local K-12 schools and colleges
  • Pie & Whiskey!
  • Events combined with radio, music, film, and theater performances

Registration is only necessary for Pie School,  Conversations Over Coffee, Conversations with Authors, and craft classes.
