Event: The Root Experience Festival: Living Cultures of Art, Music + Soul

Dates: November 14 - 16th 2025
Where: Spokane Central Library, Magic Lantern Theater, & Saranac Art Projects

Join us in the return of The Root Experience Festival on Nov. 14-16th, with the Opening Ceremony being on Nov. 14th @ 6PM at The Spokane Central Library!!🌺

Over three transformative days, The Root Experience Festival (2025) will weave together the threads of multicultural, multigenerational, and multidisciplinary expression through electrifying performances, thought-provoking films, captivating visual art, and a bustling marketplace of BIPOC vendors/entrepreneurs. We begin with a sacred opening ceremony (land acknowledgements, song, & blanket ceremony honoring community leaders), followed by a nourishing free community meal.

As of 2025 New Community Initiatives include: The Root Experience Visual Arts Program: Gallery Exhibit (begins 2025) & Fashion Show (begins 2026), Youth & Guardian Workshops, and Community Vendor Fair Program (begins 2025).

In the Youth Workshop, the kids we will begin with our special guest, Lyv’s Comedy for Kids Show, followed by a snack, special animation film screening (film submissions to festival), and close with an art activity with a gift bag to go. Simultaneously the Guardian Workshop, we will start with refreshments, then a special film screening, a planting activity, speaker, and leave with a gift bag.

Through the elevation of BIPOC cultures, we affirm a fundamental understanding: We Rise Together.
