Aritistic Discipline: Cultural, Words
In the Neighborhood is an open poetry project created by Spokane Poet Laureate Chris Cook and Spokane Arts to collect and share poetry paying tribute to Spokane’s neighborhoods from Spokane area residents past and present! Original poems will be collected and shared online and some entries may be included in a printed anthology at a later date. 
  • Open to all current or former residents of Spokane and the Spokane area
  • All ages welcome
  • Free entry
  • Submissions open from December 2, 2020 – February 28, 2021
  • One entry allowed per person
  • Only original poems are accepted
  • Any poetic style
  • Poems welcome in all languages
  • Minimum 3 lines, maximum 30 lines
  • Single-spaced
  • Vulgar/offensive language not accepted
  • By submitting a poem, you accept that your poem will appear online (some entries may be included in a printed anthology at a later date).
  • Spokane Arts reserves the right to not publish a poem for any reason
